From the moment we drove through the gates of Alila Villas Soori in Bali, we knew we found a little slice of heaven! In typical Alila fashion, every detail is thought of to ensure the most memorable stay for its guests. People we’ve never met would greet us by name, the architecture stylish and uniquely Alila, and the black sand beach steps away from our villa shimmered in the sun as if mixed with diamonds.
In a place designed to help us unwind and relax, each day presented new problems as we wrestled with decisions on which pool to use, what cuisine to indulge in, whether or not we should wake early for yoga, and which daybed would be best for an afternoon nap. When the decision making got to be too much, we ventured away to watch the nearby bat colony embark on their evening hunt, stroll through some rice paddies before sundown, and conduct a bit of a photo shoot at a hidden but not so secret hindu temple.
We went to Alila Villas Soori for a long weekend getaway, and left feeling rejuvenated, indulged, and wanting more. We will definitely be back!
