Just got back from a weekend in Kuala Lumpur, with absolutely zero expectations of the city before going. This being our first trip to Malaysia, all we really knew about the country was that it was a heck of a lot cheaper than Singapore, and home to some mighty big towers! We had the trip planned for quite some time, scoring some FREE Air Asia tickets on one of their crazy promotions. So really, why wouldn’t we go??!!
With less than 48 hours in the city before heading back home to watch the Olympic men’s gold medal hockey game (Canada won BTW!!), we didn’t have a ton of time to explore all that KL has to offer. Checking out the Petronas Twin Towers was a must though, and so was shopping, and of course, eating!
Obviously two days isn’t enough to really get to know a city, but KL left a great taste in our mouth for some more Malaysia. We’ll let the pictures below give some of our first impressions.
