We’ve been talking about it for years. Four to be exact. We needed to get diving again! On our first trip to Asia together in 2009, we got our PADI Open Water certification at Sailing Club Divers in Nha Trang, Vietnam, but hadn’t dove since. We always had an excuse. Katherine didn’t have a mask that fit her Chinese face well. Too expensive. Nervous since it had been so long since we last dove. The list goes on and on…
People have told us that the Philippines have some of the best diving in the world. If we were going to the Philippines and not diving, it’d practically be a sin! So, we bought masks that fit us perfectly, saved up the money needed for a half day refresher course (a mere $50), and “impulsively” signed up for TWO dives at Philippine Fun Divers at Alona Beach on Panglao Island.
Needless to say, the diving was spectacular and we’re now a little bit addicted!!
We’re on Boracay Island now….time for another dive? What do you think?
**Here are a few photos from our GoPro on our second dive. The turtles were massive, corals bright, and fish a plenty. Unfortunately the photos just don’t do it justice. However, watch for some epic video to come soon!!
