If you’ve been to Thailand before, you know what Phuang Malai is. You may have never known what to call it other than, “those pretty flower arrangements that are practically everywhere”, but we can guarantee that unless you’re legally blind, you know Phuang Malai.
Hand made and purchased for good luck, offerings, and a multitude of other things, Thailand wouldn’t be Thailand without Phuang Malai. What makes these flower arrangements so special and unique, is their wide array of uses and the fact that they are practically EVERYWHERE! (You know we must be serious because we used caps lock!)
And, unless for some odd reason you don’t own a camera, or like we said earlier, are legally blind, we can almost guarantee that you’ve taken at least one photo of some Phuang Malai. How couldn’t you? They’re everywhere! Rear-view taxi mirrors, resting in Buddha’s lap, or laying on the floor, they’re pretty hard to miss!
Here are some of our better photos of Phuang Malai…
Sawadee kha, welcome to Thailand!
I live in Chiang Mai, if you want to know where local people go (let me know) :)
Have a great travelling!
