Google Street View Hits Bangkok, Thailand

When we read this article from CNNGo about Google Street Views being launched for Bangkok, we were really hoping this blog post would be more exciting than it is.  Walking near the Ratchathewi BTS station in Bangkok we spotted the goofy looking Google car doing its thing along Thanon Phaya Thai.  Why we didn’t take a picture is beyond us, and we’re certainly regretting it, because it would’ve gone great with this blog post!  So, this morning we scoured the new street views of Bangkok to see if we could find ourselves.  No such luck!

However, the quality of the new street views is impeccable.  So much so, we even found a friend of ours who has served us many a meat-on-a-stick on Rama 1. (See map below…she’s the one on the right under the blue and white umbrella)

If you often visit Thailand and you haven’t seen the new Google street views of Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai, we suggest you do!  Who knows, you may just spot that ladyboy friend of yours who serves you your nightly Pad Thai.
